* A common wood elf blessing is “May your lungs be filled with flowers and your veins flow with rainwater.” Much as this may sound like a threat, it must be viewed from the perspective of the wood elf mind, where the more fundamental ones connection with nature, the more fortunate one is seen to be. * It is a common saying among the dwarven, halfling and gnomish cultures that “Even a blind giant is lucky sometimes.” This has similar meaning to “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.” * The word “foolish” in dwarvish is “Jargh”, while in orcish, Jarg Uroth translates to “Holy City”. This cross-purposes has led to several conflicts over the course of history. * The Treaty of Adamar specifically bans the use of portal-assisted kinetic weaponry. * Goliaths eyes are pure white, including iris and pupil. * Kenku burial rites (at least for the sect who worship a golden acorn) involve placing the body in a cardboard box before burial, instead of the wooden coffin or stone sarcophagus preferred by many other races. Their version of the afterlife is also a cardboard box. * Cave haggis blood is purple, and is the traditional pigment used in dwarven tattoos * Grung saying: Even a restrained tiger can dodge twice a day * Some Aarakocra use “groundhoppers” (often prefixed with “filthy”) as a slur for the flightless Kenku * Dwarves venturing into the underdark will sometimes wear horned helmets, the only purpose of which is to puncture drop haggi which may attempt to eat them. This is often a pyrrhic victory when it works however, as the dwarfs head is usually driven into their body cavity by the impact.
